Thurman Munson League Names Rookie of Month Saturday, July 1st, 2017 George Evans's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Maple designated hitter has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In June he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award. During the month he hit .353 with 11 doubles, 1 triple and 4 home runs. Evans also scored 16 times and drove in 25 runs. This year Evans is hitting .305, produced 52 RBIs and 13 home runs, scored 31 times and gotten on base at a .333 rate. |
