RCL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Saturday, July 1st, 2017 A veritable toddler to the Roberto Clemente League, José Carlos Mata just sewed up the Rookie of the Month trophy for June. Over the past month the 22-year-old center fielder for Fort Worth hit .388 with 40 hits, 5 home runs and 19 RBI. He also logged 5 walks and compiled a .413 on-base percentage. For the year Mata has hit at a .327 clip with 50 RBIs, 13 home runs and 48 runs scored. |
