New York's Seitaro Maruyama Suffers Setback
Tuesday, June 20th, 2017
Seitaro Maruyama is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for shoulder inflammation. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Mafia sent the 22-year-old right fielder back to the doctors for reexamination. Maruyama told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Maruyama will now miss a minimum of one week.

This year Maruyama is hitting .293 with 9 home runs and 39 RBIs in 53 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .368 with 23 walks and 40 runs scored.
