Bussell No-Hits Tornadoes Thursday, June 8th, 2017 The Nottinghamshire Outlaws and their fans had a lot to celebrate today as 34-year-old hurler Rich Bussell no-hit the Kansas City Tornadoes 4-0 at Trent Bridge. "He mixed his pitches well, hit his spots...and got some help from above," said his pitching coach. "Rich really took it to another level today." On his record-setting day Bussell had 11 strikeouts and 3 walks. His manager added, "I don't remember a better pitched game. And how about our defense, too. We played some good 'D' today." Bussell has a 5-4 season record so far. In 13 starts, he has fanned 78 batters in 87 innings with a 3.00 ERA. |
