Cheslin Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Wednesday, May 31st, 2017 The Jesters whipped the Jokers 18-5 at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards and Stan Cheslin had a big hand in the win. The Jesters right fielder came to the plate 6 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Cheslin and a tough day for Las Vegas. "I just go up there and whale away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan." Plan or not, Cheslin delivered today -- 5-6 is outstanding in any league. Stan Cheslin doubled in the 2nd, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Octávio Márquez in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. In his stats this season, Cheslin has posted a batting average of .292 with 59 hits in 202 at-bats, 7 home runs and 31 RBIs. He has also scored 30 runs, walked 15 times and compiled a .344 OBP. |
