Baba Cracks 3 HR for Jokers Wednesday, May 24th, 2017 Regardless of where you stand on the "hardest thing to do in sports" argument, one thing everyone can agree on, is that hitting three home runs in one game is quite an amazing feat. That's exactly what Masaki Baba did today at Field de Los Layendas. He went deep three times and carried his team to victory in the Las Vegas Jokers 8-6 win over Cabo San Lucas. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Baba said. "Good things happen, when that happens." He blistered the Toreros for 3 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 3 times. The Cabo San Lucas skipper said, "It ain't like we weren't trying. He was hot and really torched my boys today." Masaki Baba hit a two-run home run off Edward Griffith in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Edward Griffith in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Fraser Crawford in the 7th and walked in the 8th. This season Baba has hit 9 home runs and posted a .315 batting average. |
