Outlaws Whitney Down with Injury Friday, May 19th, 2017 "I'm frustrated right now," said Nottinghamshire center fielder Leslie Whitney. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Outlaws, that's where he will be spending 8 weeks. Whitney suffered torn ankle ligaments in today's game against Oklahoma City while colliding with a player at a base. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be." Whitney is hitting .321 so far this season with 14 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has 36 hits including 1 home run, 28 walks and .483 OBP. |
