Carlos Calderón, the Jacksonville Jacks 24-year-old right fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Thurman Munson League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 14 hits in 30 at-bats, compiling a .467 average with no home runs and 9 RBIs. To date Calderón has chalked up a .467 average with no home runs, driven in 9 runs and scored 5 times. |
