Hornets Baker Suffers Injury
Monday, May 7th, 2012
After injuring himself, Hornets starting pitcher Francis Baker headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after throwing a pitch and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Baker will miss at least 11 months with a stretched elbow ligament.

Baker has made 6 starts, tossed 31.2 innings, struck out 24 batters and walked 17. His record is 2-2 with a 5.12 ERA and he has limited other teams to a .295 batting average.
