Jesters Ricky Smith Sidelined Sunday, October 2nd, 2016 Earlier today, Jersey starting pitcher Ricky Smith had to leave the game against Maple because of an injury. Team officials are reporting that he has a damaged elbow ligament and will miss 14 months of play. Smith was hurt throwing a pitch and was unable to continue playing. He will be evaluated this afternoon by team physicians. On the season Smith has compiled a 13-8 mark with a 3.78 ERA in 32 starts. In pitching 216.2 innings he has 133 strikeouts and 66 walks while limiting the opposition to a .269 batting average. |
