Mafia Mora RCL Hitter of the Week Monday, August 29th, 2016 Jorge Mora must have thought he was in seventh heaven this week. First he went on a sensational hitting spree, belting the ball at a .556 pace, then the New York left fielder finds outs he has been selected the top performer and gets the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award. Asked what his hitting philosophy was, Mora quipped to the BNN reporters, "Well, my theory of hitting is to just watch the ball as it comes in and hit it." It was a good week's work for Mora. He hit .556 average (10-18) with 1 home run and 5 RBIs. So far this season Mora is hitting .353 with 20 home runs, 86 RBIs and 83 runs scored. He has 169 hits in 479 at-bats and a .454 OBP. |
