SS Everett Given 2-Game Suspension
Monday, August 22nd, 2016
For his part in an altercation with an umpire over a third strike, Kansas City Tornadoes shortstop Stephen Everett will have to sit out 2 games. The league commissioner's office today notified the Tornadoes that Everett had been suspended for his poor conduct during the Sasquatch game yesterday at Sick's Stadium.

After being ejected, Everett turned and walked toward the dugout, but then turned around, began yelling at the umpire and kicked dirt on home plate. The league said this type of behavior is not acceptable and will be dealt with according to league disciplinary policies.

Everett is batting at a .222 pace this season, picking up 88 hits in 397 at-bats with 11 home runs, 42 RBIs and 53 runs scored.
