Player of the Week: Nottinghamshire's McKenzie
Monday, July 18th, 2016
At the age of 28, William McKenzie might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Nottinghamshire third baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .556 batting average. For his efforts McKenzie collected the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award.
He racked up 10 hits in 18 at-bats, 1 home run and 6 RBIs last week in 5 games.
In 83 games McKenzie is hitting .338 this season with 115 hits, 16 home runs, 69 RBIs, 37 walks, .403 OBP and has scored 71 runs.
