Frend Wins RCL Player of the Week Monday, April 23rd, 2012 Steve Frend demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week Award. The Seattle right fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .500 average (12-24) with 5 home runs and 12 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. This season Frend is batting .417 with 30 hits, 8 home runs, 25 RBIs, 17 walks, .528 OBP and has scored 26 runs. He has played in 18 games. |
