New York's Gardner Top Pitcher in August Tuesday, September 1st, 2015 Whether Arthur Gardner stays in New York beyond this season remains to be seen, but while he's here he's making the most of it. In August the 32-year-old certainly pulled out all the stops by winning the Roberto Clemente League Pitcher of the Month award. He put up some fancy numbers with a 5-0 record and and an ERA of 3.48. In 41.1 innings he struck out 26, surrendered 43 hits, 6 walks and proved to be a solid performer in 6 starts last month. In 25 starts this season Gardner has crafted a 12-7 record with a 3.71 ERA. |
