Monday, August 17th, 2015
26-year-old Hideyori Kiyomizu sent shock waves through Adult Baseball League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Thurman Munson League Player of the Week Award.
A newcomer to the league, Kiyomizu made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .448 average, 13 hits in 29 at-bats, 3 home runs and 11 RBI.
Where the Cabo San Lucas Toreros first baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Kiyomizu certainly made his mark last week.
Currently Kiyomizu is batting .357 with 37 home runs, 93 RBIs and 105 runs scored.
