Bang-up Game: Guzmán Slams 3 Homers Saturday, July 25th, 2015 Bigger paychecks might be in the offing, if Roberto Guzmán continues to hit like he did today against the Bandits. The Ann Arbor right fielder crushed three into the stands at Huron River Park in a remarkable performance, propelling the Barn Owls to a 9-8 win over Montreal. He tagged 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 3 runs and scored 3 times. Speaking to writers after the game, he said, "It was just one of those days when you got something to hit and did something with it." The Montreal skipper agreed with him. "We made three mistakes and he made us pay each time." Roberto Guzmán struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ray Clay in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jaime Hernández in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Homer Turner in the 7th. Guzmán is batting .242 this year with 17 home runs, 51 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has 72 hits in 298 at-bats. |
