Big Day with Bat: Rodríguez 6-8 Friday, July 17th, 2015 Ann Arbor right fielder Lorenzo Rodríguez put on quite a show at Don Corleone Park with a big 6-hit day in the 11-6 victory over the New York Mafia. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate... 6-8... wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average... and my salary, too." Lorenzo Rodríguez singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th, singled in the 11th, singled in the 13th and hit a two-run home run off Ronald Hart in the 14th. So far this season Rodríguez is batting .315 with 12 home runs, 33 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has 81 hits in 257 at-bats, 35 walks and a .401 OBP. Rodríguez has played in 74 games. |
