Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Coffman
Friday, May 8th, 2015
Jeffrey Coffman of the Ann Arbor Barn Owls just keeps going and going. The hot-hitting shortstop went 1-for-7 in his team's 8-7 victory over the San Francisco Earthquakes at Huron River Park and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"He is definitely on a roll right now" said a Earthquakes pitcher. "I thought I made some good pitches against him, but he's a good hitter and hit 'em anyway."
When asked about his performance, Coffman said, "I don't care if I go hitless as long as we get the win." Jeffrey Coffman grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th, struck out in the 11th and singled in the 14th.
Currently Coffman is batting .281 with 25 hits and 1 home run. He has knocked in 7 runs and scored 14 times.
