Red-Hot Bustamante Scorches Jesters
Monday, April 13th, 2015
After the South Carolina 8-7 victory over Jersey and his 5-hit day left fielder Orlando Bustamante told BNN beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game are very good... three or four hits even better... 5 or more are out of sight... and if it is in pro ball... it is really something special."

The 32-year-old player gained that distinction today at Bomber Ballpark with a spectacular 5 for 5 game against the Jersey Jesters.

The skipper of the Bombers spoke glowingly of Bustamante, telling BNN writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Orlando did that to perfection today."

Orlando Bustamante singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Ricky Smith in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.

Bustamante has a .419 average and a .406 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 13 hits, 1 home run and driven in 6 runs.
