Atkinson Sizzles in No-Hitter Wednesday, April 8th, 2015 Is it better to be good -- or lucky? After his 2-0 no-hitter over the Mile High Mustangs he responded, "I don't know," said Eureka's Anthony Atkinson with a grin. "To do what I did, I guess it takes both." On his historic day at McNichols Stadium Atkinson made good pitches the entire game, fanned 6 and had 4 walks. When the Mustangs hit the ball hard, they hit it right at someone for an out. But that's how you get a no-hitter -- a lot of skill mixed with a little luck. |
