Hit Parade: Carlisle Pops 5 Hits Wednesday, August 20th, 2014 Dave Carlisle exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Metroplex Park. The Cabo San Lucas center fielder had a field day in the 6-5 triumph over the Dallas Texans, finishing with a 5-5 day and a spot in the league record book. "My hitting philosophy is pretty simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Well, Carlisle must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too. It was one of his best days ever with the bat. Dave Carlisle singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Carlisle is batting .420 with no home runs. He has scored 55 runs and driven in 32. |
