So Cal, Kansas City Make Deal Monday, June 30th, 2014 In a move that has left many fans wondering, the So Cal Republic have traded 34-year-old starting pitcher Pepe López, 32-year-old reliever Dave Walton, 26-year-old catcher Freddy Castillo, 22-year-old minor league reliever Peter Anthony and $5,000,000 in cash to the Kansas City Tornadoes. In return, the Republic receive 25-year-old catcher Takaaki Hirayama, 25-year-old minor league first baseman Jeffrey Hall, 20-year-old starting pitcher Kazuhiko Kanno, 24-year-old minor league right fielder Chance Parks and 23-year-old minor league first baseman Takuji Hakui. In 14 starts this year López has recorded a 5-5 record and a 4.97 ERA. So far this season, Parks has recorded a .143 batting average with 5 hits, 1 home run, 4 RBIs, 5 runs scored and a .231 OBP. |
