Maple Snaps Crawford's Streak at 22
Monday, April 7th, 2014
For once, it was the Toreros picking up Dennis Crawford.

Their offensive catalyst, as the Cabo San Lucas manager calls him, saw his 22-game hitting streak snapped as Crawford was held hitless by the Maple Marauders at Field de Los Layendas. The 27-year-old left fielder went 0-for-1. It should have made for a lousy day, but his teammates picked up the slack and whipped the Marauders 10-2.

At the press conference after the game, Crawford told reporters, "Everybody did the job but me. No problem, we won the game."

Asked how he felt about the streak ending, he grinned and replied, "It was a good run. I'll try to start another one tomorrow."
