August's Top Hurler is Brooks Sunday, September 1st, 2013 Wilfred Brooks's been around the league long enough to appreciate the honor he received today. After going 5-2 in August, the 28-year-old Cabo San Lucas hurler has been named Thurman Munson League Pitcher of the Month. He fanned 38 in 54 innings, logged an ERA of 2.33 and allowed opponents to hit .217 against him. Brooks has a 18-7 season record so far. In 31 starts, he has fanned 172 batters in 204 innings with a 3.75 ERA. |
