Hops Ortíz RCL Hitter of the Week Monday, June 3rd, 2013 Miguel Angel Ortíz is respected by most San Diego Hops fans for his no-frills style of play. The 31-year-old first baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Roberto Clemente League Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .667 average (14-21) with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 8 runs scored. Thus far this year Ortíz is hitting .379 with 23 home runs, 67 RBIs and 47 runs scored. |
