Ghost Busters-Sasquatch Swap: Rose for McFarland
Monday, April 22nd, 2013
The Baseball News Network is reporting that Georgia and Seattle have agreed in principle to a swap that will send 28-year-old reliever Kent Rose to the Sasquatch with 22-year-old minor league first baseman Quincy Peterson, 23-year-old minor league second baseman Michael McFarland and 19-year-old minor league second baseman Connor Howard joining the Ghost Busters. Georgia's general manager would not confirm the trade, but a team representative close to the negotiations said the deal is official and is now only awaiting approval from the league.
This season Rose has made 5 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-1 won-lost mark and a 5.79 ERA. In pitching 4.2 innings, he has totaled 5 strikeouts and 3 walks.
