 | PL Selects Noda September's Best Pitcher Saturday, October 1st, 2016 There's something about a young rookie winning the Pacific League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Juichi Noda, a 22-year-old starter for the Chiba Lotte Marines. In September, he topped off the month with a 2-0 mark and 2.96 ERA in 4 starts, tossed 24.1 innings, fanned 25 and held opposing teams to a .209 average. Noda has gone 9-9 this season with an ERA of 4.57 and 151 strikeouts in 153.2 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .266 against him. |   |
