 | Yokohama Reliever Hurt Sunday, September 18th, 2016 Watching Tsunesaburo Koda getting helped off the field today at Cuckoos Stadium, fans of the Yokohama Bay Stars feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the reliever will miss 13 months with a torn rotator cuff. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Koda suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Marines. Koda has earned 1 save and a 1-3 mark this season with a 8.04 earned run average in 37 relief appearances. He has worked 43.2 innings, yielded 58 hits, struck out 47 batters and walked 52. |   |
