 | Great Stroke: Gato Gets 5 Hits Thursday, June 9th, 2016 Somedays you can't win for losing. Just ask Kimitada Gato. He was the King of Swing in the game against the Bay Stars, but his Buffaloes were beaten 11-10 anyway. The ORIX left fielder stepped into the batter's box 5 times against the Yokohama and delivered 5 hits. It was a sensational game for him. He excitedly told the press, "Unbelieveable feeling. It felt great on the one hand, but a downer at the same time. 5-for-5! It does wonders for your batting average. But it's a shame we couldn't win it, too." Kimitada Gato singled in the 2nd, was hit by a pitch in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th. So far this season, Gato has recorded a .327 batting average with 36 hits, 1 home run, 13 RBIs, 18 runs scored and a .457 OBP. |   |
