It was one of the single greatest months the reliever has posted, and the 19-year-old reliever did so well that he garnered enough votes for the Central League Pitcher of the Month trophy. Saito held the opposition to a .204 batting average in 12 relief appearances. He worked 15 innings, collected 5 saves, sat down 23 on strikes and posted a 3-1 record and a 2.40 ERA. |   |
