 | Goto CL Choice for Best Pitcher Thursday, October 1st, 2015 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Tokaji Goto, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Yokohama Bay Stars closer, 20, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .162 average and walked away with the Central League Pitcher of the Month award for September. Goto posted a 3-0 mark and a 0.90 ERA in 2 relief appearances. In 20 innings, he had 2 saves, 27 strikeouts, and 7 walks. In the 2015 campaign Goto has 2 saves. In 2 relief appearances he has tossed 153.1 innings, struck out 202 and yielded 20 walks with a 12-2 record.
