 | Kawano Bags PL Best Player Award Monday, July 13th, 2015 Josuke Kawano must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .500 clip, then the Saitama Seibu shortstop finds outs he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the PL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Kawano batted .500 (13-26) with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs. To date, Kawano has collected 70 hits for a .252 average. He has posted 7 home runs, scored 34 runs and driven in 37 runs. |   |
