 | Ine Cracks 3 HR for Carp Saturday, June 6th, 2015 What did Ryuzaburo Ine eat for breakfast prior to his game against Tokyo Yakult? Whatever it was, it provided some surprising power as the Hiroshima Toyo first baseman smacked three balls up and out of the park at Frogs Ballpark. His power surge sparked the Carp to a 9-8 victory over the Swallows. He told BNN reporters, "When they throw it in your wheelhouse, you got a shot at a homer. I got three shots today and nailed them all." On his 3-homer day he went 3 for 3, scored 3 times, drove in 4 and put his name in the league record book. Ryuzaburo Ine hit a two-run home run off Hiroyuki Okumura in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Hiroyuki Okumura in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ken'ichi Yoshida in the 7th and walked in the 9th. In his season totals, Ine has 13 home runs, .364 BA, .481 OBP, 24 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has played in 33 games. |   |
