 | Ueda Wins CL Prize, Named Best Hitter in August Monday, September 1st, 2014 August's Batter of the Month has been announced by the Central League. This month's trophy was presented to the Hiroshima Toyo second baseman, Kazunari Ueda. He starred by hitting .367 with a .500 on-base percentage, totaled 22 hits in 60 at-bats, 5 home runs, 26 RBIs and scored 20 runs. For the year Ueda is batting .349 with 75 hits and 16 home runs. He has scored 64 times and driven in 59. |   |
