 | Dragons Morimoto Chosen September's Best in CL Tuesday, October 1st, 2013 Over the past month Sugimoto Morimoto has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Central League. He proved all that and now he's been named September's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Chunichi Dragons posted 3-1 mark and a 2.15 ERA. In 5 starts he tossed 37.2 innings, permitted 32 hits and fanned 41 batters. This year Morimoto has gone 12-5 with an ERA of 4.47 and has 176 strikeouts in 143 innings. |   |
