 | Thomson Tosses Shutout Against Montreal Sunday, May 8th, 2016 Ron Thomson had the Montreal Royales dancing to his tune today with a sparkling 5-0 shutout performance for the Saskatoon Legends. He gave up 1 hit, issued no walks and had 13 strikeouts. Montreal hitters were bewildered throughout the game by his delivery. The opposing manager said, "When you face a guy who hides the ball like he does, it takes a couple of at-bats to try to find his release point. We just never figured him out." To date this season Thomson sports a 6-0 mark with a 0.87 ERA in 8 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .148 batting average and has 60 strikeouts in 51.2 innings. |   |
