 | Razor-Sharp Howard Blanks South Mississippi Monday, May 14th, 2012 William Howard shut 'em down and shut 'em out, hurling Louisiana-Layfayette past South Mississippi 8-0 in a complete game victory. He told BNN sportswriters in the postgame interview, "This is a game of adjustments and I made some good ones in this game." Howard held the South Mississippi Golden Eagles without a run, tossing a 6-hitter while walking 1 and fanning 7. So far this season Howard has a record of 5-1 with 51 strikeouts and 11 walks in 57.2 innings and a 2.03 ERA. |   |
