 | Powell Sidelined for 4 Months Monday, April 23rd, 2012 The Titans received bad news this morning. David Powell will miss 4 months due to a fractured elbow. In the Cal State Fullerton-TCU game he sustained the injury while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Powell sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." So far this year Powell has made 5 starts, tossed 28.1 innings, struck out 31 batters and walked 8. His record is 2-1 with a 5.72 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .286 batting average. |   |
