 | It's Over: Tigers Stop Sánchez Monday, May 2nd, 2016 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Vicente Sánchez as he saw his 26-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 3 at-bats at the hands of the Tigers. It wasn't all bad for the 22-year-old left fielder and the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns, as they defeated LSU 6-1 at South Paris College Grounds. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Sánchez laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." This season Sánchez is batting .348 with 9 home runs. He has scored 22 runs and driven in 27. |   |
