 | Rice Starting Pitcher Hurt Wednesday, April 27th, 2016 Rice Owls starting pitcher Bryan Peterson left yesterday's game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs after suffering a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch. Peterson was taken to the clubhouse for examination by team doctors. A team spokesman told BNN today Peterson is expected to miss 9-10 months. This season Peterson has gone 3-0 with an ERA of 2.93, posting 44 strikeouts in 30.2 innings. |   |
