 | Carter and Pérez Suspended for Free-for-All Friday, April 22nd, 2016 If there wasn't a history between Alvin Carter of Indiana State and Edgardo Pérez of Kansas, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 8 games as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Carter said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
Currently Carter is hitting .287 and has collected 9 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 16 times, while playing in 21 games.
This season Pérez has chalked up a 10.45 ERA while ringing up no saves with no wins and no losses. He has made 13 relief appearances, pitching 10.1 innings, giving up 15 hits, and holding opponents to a .349 batting average. Pérez has also recorded 7 strikeouts and allowed 11 walks. | |
