 | Pearson Batters Oklahoma State Big Time Monday, April 4th, 2016 5 hits in a game has always been a magic number in baseball. Only a handful of players will do that. Get 5 hits in a game and you get your moment of glory... your 5 minutes of fame... you get your name in the record book. In the Salukis 20-4 win over Oklahoma State, Forrest Pearson was red-hot today, scorching them for hit after hit at Canaries Ballpark. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax. I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I must admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for a 5-hit game. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." On his big day Pearson delivered 5 hits in 7 at-bats. Forrest Pearson doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Luis Franco in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Greg Perryman in the 9th and struck out in the 9th. |   |
