 | Rice Star, Cy Young Award Winner Monday, June 15th, 2015 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Bryan Peterson performed like a veteran on the hill for the Rice Owls and walked away with the Rod Dedeaux League Cy Young Award in the process. The 21-year-old Owls star fashioned a 7-2 won-loss record in 2015 with a 2.39 ERA. In 67.2 innings of work and 11 starts, Peterson struck out 94 while giving up 55 hits and 17 walks. He held opposing batters to a .219 average. |   |
