 | 5 Hits for Tar Heels Cole Wednesday, May 20th, 2015 Players get multihit games all the time. But a 5-hit game comes around only once in a blue moon. It happened at Ballpark of Bismarck College when Clint Cole of North Carolina scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Florida Gators.
He walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats in his career-day performance to help the Tar Heels get by the Gators 10-6.
In a talkative and jovial mood after the game, the right fielder of the Tar Heels said, "Whoa, my swing was really, really there today. I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens... good things happen... like 5-5. I could get used to a lot of days like this one."
Clint Cole singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jesús Ramírez in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
Currently Cole is hitting .383 and has collected 10 home runs, 29 RBIs and scored 26 times, while playing in 35 games. | |
