Just ask Lee Watkins, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The UCLA Bruins closer, 22, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .140 average and walked away with the Rod Dedeaux League Pitcher of the Month award for April. Watkins posted a 2-0 mark and a 2.20 ERA in 13 relief appearances. In 16.1 innings, he had 9 saves, 29 strikeouts, and 3 walks. |   |
