B.J. Oliver to Miss 12 Months
Wednesday, May 21st, 2014
The Oregon Ducks learned that B.J. Oliver is likely to be out for 12 months after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Arizona State Sun Devils. A round of tests by the team doctor revealed the injury to be a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Upon hearing the diagnosis, the Oregon manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries -- they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until B.J. is back in action."

So far this season Oliver has a record of 1-4 with 32 strikeouts and 21 walks in 37 innings and a 7.05 ERA.
