 | Thomas Touches All Bases, Hits for Cycle Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 The Mississippi State Bulldogs wasted a big day at the plate by right fielder Mark Thomas today in a 12-8 loss to the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns. Thomas hit for the cycle, stroking 4 hits off the Louisiana-Layfayette pitching staff in a losing effort. For the day he had 3 RBI and scored 3 runs. Mark Thomas tripled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Steven Spencer in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. Looking at his stats this year, Thomas has compiled a .324 batting average, while hitting 13 home runs and driving in 35 runs. He has played in 28 games and scored 25 runs. |   |
