 | Road Warriors Starter Named August's Premier Pitcher Saturday, September 1st, 2012 José Carreón took a much-deserved turn in the spotlight earlier today as he accepted the August Herrman League Pitcher of the Month award for August. The 19-year-old Road Warriors starter is a relative newcomer to the league, but nonetheless racked up an impressive 4-0 won-lost record in 5 starts. This month he fanned 37 batters in 34 innings and compiled a 1.06 ERA. This year Carreón has compiled a 13-5 mark with a 2.10 ERA. |   |
