 | Bad News for Westside, Johnston Injured Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012 Whether he wants it or not, Melvin Johnston of the Westside Road Warriors will be getting some R & R -- rest and relaxation. The center fielder was hurt in today's Road Warriors-Stingrays game while colliding with a player at a base. Team officials announced after the game that Johnston had suffered a broken kneecap and would be out of action for 9 months. Johnston is presently batting .314 with 8 home runs, 35 runs scored and 25 RBIs. His OBP is .439. |   |
